• AAA acquires two well established companies in Spain

    Advanced Accelerator Applications (AAA), the fast-growing international Molecular Nuclear Medicine (MNM) company, announced that it has acquired two radiopharmaceutical companies in Barcelona, Spain: Barnatron and Catalana De Dispensación, S.A. (Cadisa) from ERESA Grupo Medico (majority shareholder) and Molypharma.
    These acquisitions further strengthen AAA’s leading position in peninsula Ibérica.

  • Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (IFIB) 2013

    Assobiotec, the Italian Association for the development of biotechnology, which is part of Federchimica, Innovhub SSI and the Italian Biocatalysis Center invite companies and research centers to the 3rd edition of the Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (IFIB) which will be held on October 22-23, 2013 in Naples (Italy). The workshop is aimed at making a survey ofresearch projects in the industrial biotechnology field with the goal to strengthen the network in the Euro-Mediterranean area and to promote industry-university partnerships.

    REGISTRATION

    Participation in the workshop is free of charge. Registration is mandatory. The official language of the workshop will be English; no simultaneous translation will be provided.

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND
    Companies, universities, public and private research centers from the field of industrial biotech.

    CALL FOR ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS
    Oral communications (A or B)

    A. This type of oral communication (10 minutes) will provide an opportunity for authors to display results of their scientific work in the field of industrial biotech. The presentation should also include a short description of the scientific/technical expertise of the applicant (company/university/research center) and any request/offer for partnership.
    B. This type of oral communication (5 minutes) will provide an opportunity for non-biotech companies which aim at evaluating industrial biotech as a driver for the development of their business. The presentation should describe the scientific/technical expertise of the applicant and any request/offer for partnership.

    Poster communications (C)

    ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
    Abstracts must be submitted in English using exclusively the form that can be downloaded from the websites www.assobiotec.it, www.innovhub.it or www.italianbiocatalysis.eu (for type B oral communications mandatory fields are marked *).
    The abstract must be e-mailed (.doc, .docx, .rtf) by September 6, 2013 to: ifib.assobiotec@federchimica.it. The file must be named as follows: last name of the presenting author_affiliation_type of presentation (e.g. Last name_CompanyXYZ_A). E-mail subject must be labeled with IFIB 2013.
    Abstracts not prepared according to the instructions reported above or sent after the deadline will not be considered. Abstracts must contain the name of the presenting author, complete affiliation, telephone number and e-mail. For further information, please contact ifib.assobiotec@federchimica.it.

    ABSTRACT ACCEPTANCE
    Abstracts will be selected by the Scientific Committee and authors will be informed on acceptance of their abstracts either for oral or poster presentation via e-mail by September 30, 2013. Accepted abstracts will be published in the websites of the organizers.

    Alimenta2Talent è la Call Internazionale del Comune di Milano e della Fondazione Parco Tecnologico Padano per attrarre aspiranti imprenditori nel settore Agroalimentare e delle Scienze della Vita.

    La Call è aperta a idee da tutto il mondo. Se sei un ricercatore/aspirante imprenditore impegnato all’estero, ma ti piacerebbe sviluppare la tua idea in Italia, o un ricercatore/aspirante imprenditore italiano che lavora in Italia, il Parco Tecnologico Padano metterà a disposizione un Fondo per il rimborso delle tue spese correnti. Troverai tutti i dettagli nel regolamento della Call.

    Puoi iscriverti alla Call compilando la documentazione online, a partire dal 18 gennaio al 18 di marzo 2013. Se il tuo progetto verrà valutato positivamente potrai svilupparlo all’interno dell’ Incubatore di Impresa Alimenta. In Alimenta avrai accesso all’Alimenta Accelerating Program, il programma di accelerazione gratuito sviluppato in con i migliori professionisti nel campo della creazione d’impresa e del business development del Parco Tecnologico Padano.

    La Call intende inoltre valorizzare la costituzione di team misti, composti cioè da soggetti provenienti dall’Estero – Italiani e non – e giovani residenti in Italia.

  • Agevolazioni alle imprese per favorire la registrazione di marchi comunitari e internazionali

    La Direzione Generale per la Lotta alla Contraffazione – UIBM del Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico e l’Unioncamere intendono supportare le imprese di micro, piccola e media dimensione nella tutela dei marchi all’estero attraverso alcune misure agevolative che mirano a sostenere la capacità innovativa e competitiva delle imprese.

    Il programma – in favore del quale è destinato un finanziamento complessivo di € 4.500.000,00 – prevede due linee di intervento:

    • Misura A) Agevolazioni per favorire la registrazione di marchi comunitari presso UAMI (Ufficio per l’Armonizzazione nel Mercato Interno) attraverso l’acquisto di servizi specialistici
    • Misura B) Agevolazioni per favorire la registrazione di marchi internazionali presso OMPI (Organizzazione Mondiale per la Proprietà Intellettuale) attraverso l’acquisto di servizi specialistici

    Le domande di agevolazione possono essere presentate a partire dal 120° giorno successivo alla data di pubblicazione nella Gazzetta Ufficiale della Repubblica Italiana del comunicato relativo al bando ad esse inerente sino all’esaurimento delle risorse disponibili.

  • Call for applications for the selection of experts as members of the European Bioeconomy Panel

    As you may know, the Communication Innovating for Sustainable Growth: A Bioeconomy for Europe , (http://ec.europa.eu/research/bioeconomy/pdf/201202_innovating_sustainable_growth.pdf) published on 13 February 2012 announced the establishment of a European Union Bioeconomy Panel (hereafter, the Bioeconomy Panel). 

    The mandate of the Bioeconomy Panel is to contribute to enhancing synergies and coherence between policies, initiatives and economic sectors related to the bioeconomy at EU level, linking with existing mechanisms.

    In order to select in a transparent manner a suitable number of experts covering the necessary expertise from the various bioeconomy-related areas – according to the selection criteria set by the European Commission  – the European Commission has launched a call for applications for the selection of experts as members of the European Bioeconomy Panel.
    This call is open until 24 FEBRUARY 2013
